Define the requirement

What to specify.

Keep the product range and the complete order specification distinct. Use the fields below when discussing a new order or reviewing a replacement.

A4 copy paper is office printing paper for business documents, stationery wholesale and distributor replenishment. CXPAPER's range includes A4 copy paper and custom sheet-format discussions from A0 to A6; its reviewed catalogue records 70 gsm and 80 gsm grades. Specify the finished size, required grammage and printer use before choosing the packing unit. For office replenishment or resale, sheets per pack and packs per carton are as important to a comparison as the carton price. Confirm the selected grade, packaging and sample against your workflow so the purchasing brief describes the paper your team will receive and the way it will be handled.

Selection decisions

Choose around the job.

Separate sheet size from printer compatibility

A familiar page size does not define the medium a printer supports. Copy paper is an office-paper category and should not be substituted for thermal-printer media. Start with the exact printer model, finished dimensions and printing task, then review the proposed grade on that basis.

Compare 70 gsm and 80 gsm in your use

Grammage measures mass per unit area. It does not by itself establish thickness, stiffness, whiteness or feeding behaviour. If you are choosing between these grades, describe the document and handling requirements, then assess a sample in the printer and settings your team uses.

Count paper before comparing carton prices

Multiply sheets per pack by packs per carton to establish the paper quantity in each carton. Compare the same finished size and grade, with the same currency and delivery scope. A lower carton price may simply describe fewer sheets, so keep pack counts visible beside the quoted amount.

Treat the wrapper as part of receiving

Specify identification and packaging requirements for your warehouse or resale channel. At receipt, look for damaged wrappers, crushed corners or signs of moisture exposure before opening stock. Record observations against the delivery reference rather than assuming a packaging appearance proves the paper inside is suitable.

Custom paper & packing

Make every change explicit.

For a custom sheet or branded pack, specify the finished dimensions and packaging separately. The product name should remain connected to the actual grade and quantity inside each unit.

See the custom-order process
  • Provide the finished sheet dimensions and the application instead of relying on a size-family name alone.
  • Identify the requested grammage and any existing grade or sample reference.
  • Supply wrapper or carton artwork with product description, counts and the revision to review.
  • Keep claims on packaging consistent with the agreed product evidence; do not add unsupported performance or environmental marks.

Before order approval

Review a sample in its working conditions.

Packing and receiptCheck pack and carton identification, stated sheet counts and condition of wrappers and corners. Photograph moisture or transit concerns before discarding packaging.Pack configuration, delivery reference, photographs and any count-check method used.

Packing & repeat orders

Specify the unit you buy.

No standard pack or carton count is assumed in an enquiry. Write sheets per pack and packs per carton explicitly; if you use the word ream, also state its sheet count.

Inner pack
Sheet count, wrapper requirements, product identification and how your customer or office will use the pack.
Outer carton
Packs per carton, carton marks and whether grades or sizes must remain separate.
Storage and receiving
Explain the destination and handling constraints. Keep unopened paper protected and follow the selected material's storage guidance.
Comparison unit
Record total sheets as well as cartons so a price comparison remains readable when packing configurations differ.

Product questions

Resolve the details before you order.

Is A4 copy paper the same as A4 thermal paper?

No. The company’s A4 copy paper is an office paper product. Do not substitute it for a thermal-printer medium. Confirm the printer’s supported media.

Which paper weights are offered?

The CXPAPER catalogue lists 70 gsm and 80 gsm A4 copy paper. State your required grammage in gsm and confirm the selected grade, sheet count and packing configuration in the quotation.

How should I compare carton prices?

Compare the same grade, sheet size, sheets per ream and reams per carton. Also align packing and delivery terms to understand the difference in total cost.

Does 80 gsm always mean a thicker sheet than 70 gsm?

Gsm and thickness measure different properties. Do not infer a specific caliper from the weight label. Request the information your printer or application needs and assess the selected grade rather than treating gsm as a complete performance specification.

Does one ream always mean 500 sheets?

For this enquiry, write the sheet count explicitly and confirm it in the quotation. Naming the count avoids ambiguity when suppliers or channels use different packing descriptions. Keep packs per carton on a separate line.

What should I record if the carton arrives damp or damaged?

Keep the delivery reference and photograph the outer carton, affected packs and labels before repacking. Note which units are affected and describe storage and handling conditions so the concern can be reviewed against the order.

Can I assume every A0–A6 format is in stock?

No. Send the required finished dimensions, grade, quantity and purpose. The custom-format direction is a basis for reviewing a requirement; it is not a current-stock list.
